The item
What you get
Point, press, read. The laser measures from 0.05 to 50 m with a typical accuracy of ±2 mm, which replaces a tape measure and a second person for most indoor jobs. Beyond single distances it calculates area and volume from two or three readings, adds and subtracts lengths, and works out a height you cannot reach using the Pythagoras mode. The last 20 results stay in memory. The backlit screen shows four lines at once, and a bubble level on the side helps keep the device straight. The housing is rubber-edged and rated IP54 against dust and splashes. Runs on two AAA batteries, included.
