Rimless reading glasses with a progressive lens: the power grows continuously down the lens, from 0 to 5.5 dioptres, in three zones that blend into each other with no lines and no jumps. You look through the top for the television, through the middle for a screen at arm's length and through the bottom to read, so one pair covers the day instead of three pairs left around the house. They arrive with the lenses fitted, ready to wear, with nothing to adjust. The polycarbonate lens is impact resistant, with a scratch-resistant coating on top and a blue-light filter and UV400 underneath, so screens in the evening are easier on the eyes. The temples hold a shape-memory alloy core and no screws: they bend back on themselves and return straight, which is where cheap supermarket readers break first.
